Is there any good manufactors that make a quality battery that isn't going to cost an arm and leg.. I went to get 2 batteries for my prairie's this weekend and they wanted over $130 each..

Those new gel cell batteries are just plain expensive! And I am not convinced that they work any better than a lead acid type. They sure don't seem to last any longer! Do you have a Batteries Plus anywhere near you! Around here, they sell them for close to what wholesale price is. I sell them, but always get beat by Batteries Plus.

If you want a quality battery and are not afraid to spend for it the Odessy brand is supposed to be the best. I haven't sprung for one myself yet but need one for my ATV too. For now I use a float charger between rides. Come heated grip time I either need a battery or heavier gloves!

I have only had to replace 1 battery and I bought it at wally world. Just a plain ole liquid filled battery. I think it was around 30 bucks. That was about 3 years ago and have had no issues with it. It gets bounced around plenty and also sits for some extended times also. I dont really see the point of paying so much for an atv battery.

Dealers are ripoffs most of the time. Great you got a better deal.
