Default 2007 Outlander 500XT

I am picking up a 07 outlander 500xt that runs but the TPS seems to be out
and not allowing it to rev up. its currently in limp mode.. Any idea of how hard to change or fix this issue.. Is this a dealer only fix.

Thinking I've heard you can take it out and clean it. Not sure. I'm on my 4th can am product and none ever went into limp mode

Well its a 2008 model but the frame is slightly bent so it will need a new frame so this will be a winter changeover project but everything looks good but with hard to tell with the slight bend in it.
