I have a 1999 Quadrunner 500 and so far so good. I have only had trouble from gas problems from sitting only 700 miles. I just don't ride as much as I would like. I also have a interest in the mew King Quad but I am still unsure about the CVT transmission. I like my 5 speed alot. I could use some better tires but that a owner problem I just can't talk myself into spending the money yet!

I have a 2005 Suzuki King Quad. It recently turned 1800 miles and with it being winter decided to pull it apart and do a major service. I did a pretty extensive inspection and found nothing wrong, bent, or broken. I've heard of other having belt problems around 800-1000 miles so I was expecting it would be worn, but it is still well within the acceptable range and doesn't show any sign of cracking or excessive heat. I attribute that to the clutch kit I installed at 200 miles. With it apart I did change the belt and will use the old one as a spare and carry it on trips.

Yardcar,Sounds like your fairly easy on a machine.
Make sure you check your upper control arm bushings front and rear for movement and any freeplay.They are a weak wear item.
Has your tie rod ends been recalled ?Look real close at the swaybar links also,they have wear problem to.
I also noticed I need front pads.Suzuki wants 65.00 per side.Bums me out,for Suki they won't warranty the brakes.

LOL, it get's ridden hard, but not abused. I was really surprised by the belt life, I'm running 26" Bighorns and really expected it to be worn. I ride a lot of technical trails where we ride pretty slow, crawling in low range bouncing and beating through rocks. Some days we ride 8 hours and only do 10-15 miles. We have some of the premier 4x4 trails in the country all within about an hour of the house.

My Suzuki rides,
1990 Quadrunner, auto clutch, good liittle machine. Handling was ok. Never burned any oil in the time I had it (13years). I hated the chain drive. It allways needed adjusting.
Things fixed; rear brakes and chain replaced every two years, rear axle bearings last about 3 years, battery and front brake pads replaced once. Oil changed and serviced once a year.
Over all I liked this machine and would buy another.

2003 Eiger 4x4, auto clutch, so far so good. A little too heavy. Motor is a little cold blooded. Fenders get scratch easy.
Fuel guage stopped working. No other problems.
Over all I like this machine.
